Kaiser Woodland Hills Seismic Repair

Post Northridge Earthquake remediation work to 341 moment frame connections at the 500,000 square foot facility. The preconstruction process for this project included the mapping of the mechanical and electrical systems to create as-built drawings; as well as, the ultrasonic testing of every beam to column steel connection to determine the structural integrity. During construction large amounts of temporary power supported the welding equipment and air-handling units needed for the project. Once the connection had been repaired the building was returned to its original state. A great deal of caution and coordination were exercised to keep the facility up and running during the renovation.
