Barker Brothers Building

Overview

This project featured the seismic retrofit of an eleven-story, 330,000 square foot brick and terracotta building supported by a concrete and steel superstructure.  Structural modifications required extensive use of full height shotcrete shear walls on two elevations of the building.  The renovation included asbestos abatement and the reconstruction of 80% of the exterior façade.  McCormick also completed a full build-out of the interiors after finishing the seismic upgrade.
